Horse riding lessons in Hosszúréti Lovas Major
As of the autumn of 2018, we provide horse riding lessons in Hosszúréti Lovas Major. Read more about our construction work by clicking here. We teach kids and adults by taking into account of their riding skills. During the warm seasons, the lessons are given in the open riding arena while in winter and on rainy days they are given in our indoor riding arena. To reserve a lesson click here, we provide a credit based reservation system. Everybody has a balance that can be used for all our lessons (private lessons, group or trail riding) and services (indoor riding arena renting).
Categories of our riders
Beginner
For their own safety, beginners can only participate in private lessons. Every newcomer rider is considered beginner until we test his/her riding skills.
Intermediate
Our intermediate riders are free to join our group lessons. An intermediate rider sits confidently in the saddle, and able to perform - while sitting on a horse - walk, trot and gallop by using a good technique.
Experienced
Our experienced riders can join the trail ridings. An experienced rider sits confidently in the saddle and able to perform - while sitting on a horse - walk, trot and gallop by using a good technique. The experienced rider is also capable of working with other horse riders without any issue.
Private lessons with an instructor
Every newcomer rider starts with private lessons. The training is conducted by an instructor that pays attention only to you. The first lesson starts with a short test. During your lesson, only you and your instructor are in the riding arena.
Private lessons are not only for beginner horse riders but for experienced riders as well. We offer them dressage, advanced horse training techniques and jump training.
1. Lunge training
You will take part in lunge training as long as you learn the essential basics and you are capable sit confidently while walking/trotting/galloping with the horse.
What you will learn:
- balance
- sensing and following the movement of the horse - coordination
- proper sitting on a horse while horseback riding
- controlling the horse
2. Riding in the riding arena
If you meet our previous requirements you are free to ride in our riding arena. Our instructor is giving you the lesson and pay attention only to you. The aim is to make you a more confident rider and prepare you for group riding.
Group riding
During group riding, you are accompanied by other riders. The training is conducted by the instructor and help you learn how to ride a horse when others are present in the riding arena. Group riding prepares you to be able to join our trail ridings.
Trail riding
Hosszúréti Lovas Major is embraced with 7 km2 forest where amazing trail ride routes await the horseback riders.
